I am assembling my '89 westy after paint - is there supposed to be a gasket between the turn signal housing and body? I don't remeber one, but it seems strange just to sitting flush against the new paint without a gasket of some sort.

Thanks,

Paul

nope, but you can make one if you like I used a thin bead of permatex around mine because they were fogging. They're not sealed to the rear, so moisture will still be able to get out (or in), but it solved my problem. I would say if you're not having moisture trouble, just screw em back on and hope for the best.

no moisture issues, just lens to new paint issues....It is like a brand new baby with the new paint!
Pictures will be up soon.
