Like to hear it installed. Looks pretty good.
Can you run heater boxes with that Vintage Speed muffler?

what are the fitment issues with the ww/mr wob/cheap flat 4
4 tip mufflers when used on a bus w/o tailpipe cuttouts?
looks to me the mr wob will not clear the rear apron?
ww seems to hang real low and should clear
anyone had a problem with one of these mufflers clearing a post barndoor bus rear apron? |
anyone tried the WW abarth on their post barndoor bus with stock apron w/o exhaust cutouts yet?
Curious how they fit before spending the 600 bucks. _________________ WANTED:

I'm holding out too Doug. Surely someone has mounted one of these including a Vintage Speed muffler and can share their experience with it. _________________ 58 Coral Red ragtop(Diana's car)

ive been running a ww one for over a year now, no complaints until recently.
i started to hear pops like a backfire from it.
so checked it out, both sides where it joins from the heads to the muffler top side had split and separated.
nothing against ww for it, just against myself for lowering it that much to hit on everything. no lowering=no cracks.
apart from this, i love it. _________________ shiny paint doesnt make it worth any more |

Can you post a pic from the side of how far down the muffler sits? That is what concerns me most about all the mufflers mentioned. I would like for it to tuck up high so if anyone has pics to post please do. _________________ 58 Coral Red ragtop(Diana's car)

the exhaust is a little bent from hitting things so not too sure if a pic would really give accurate muffler positions, but i can if u still want one _________________ shiny paint doesnt make it worth any more |

please post one anyway; it will give us an idea on the fit against the apron. _________________ WANTED:

mines a wolfsburg west on a stock height bug. I don't have anything handy to measure by so I just took a quick phone pic using the universal measuring point of a can of coke haha.
It hangs pretty low! Even on a stock car I've scraped it a couple of times on peoples driveways. Despite that I'm happy with it.. been running it for a couple of years now and I still think it sounds awesome, money well spent in my opinion but will be interesting to see how the vintage speed one compares. _________________ 1960 Beetle ''Heidi" daily driver

ok, heres some pics.
lowest point to ground is 75mm so gives u a little indication of it.
my pipes are bent up from hitting now so thats why they are on a funny angle
little indication of how low it sits
where the pipes have been hitting. not round anymore

thanks for posting those pics
What we are looking for is a WW muffler mounted on a bus to see how the muffler fits in relation to the rear apron. _________________ WANTED:

Does anyone know if WW has corrected the super low hanging pipes?
Also, does the version for apron cut outs hit the apron? I can't find any photos of this version. |
