You know that Vintage Speed now makes an Abarth right?...pipes are at the right height, and it looks as beautiful as the one you saw...

The heat riser flanges are an option $20...

Like to hear it installed. Looks pretty good.

Can you run heater boxes with that Vintage Speed muffler?

I've got one of the Vintage Speed Abarth Exhausts now and fitted it up to my 65 Bug with Judson blower.

video link to it running over on my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=4157896818579...mp;theater

anyone had a problem with one of these mufflers clearing a post barndoor bus rear apron?
anyone tried the WW abarth on their post barndoor bus with stock apron w/o exhaust cutouts yet?
Curious how they fit before spending the 600 bucks.

I'm holding out too Doug. Surely someone has mounted one of these including a Vintage Speed muffler and can share their experience with it.

ive been running a ww one for over a year now, no complaints until recently.
i started to hear pops like a backfire from it.
so checked it out, both sides where it joins from the heads to the muffler top side had split and separated.

nothing against ww for it, just against myself for lowering it that much to hit on everything. no lowering=no cracks.

apart from this, i love it.

Can you post a pic from the side of how far down the muffler sits? That is what concerns me most about all the mufflers mentioned. I would like for it to tuck up high so if anyone has pics to post please do.

the exhaust is a little bent from hitting things so not too sure if a pic would really give accurate muffler positions, but i can if u still want one

please post one anyway; it will give us an idea on the fit against the apron.

mines a wolfsburg west on a stock height bug. I don't have anything handy to measure by so I just took a quick phone pic using the universal measuring point of a can of coke haha.

It hangs pretty low! Even on a stock car I've scraped it a couple of times on peoples driveways. Despite that I'm happy with it.. been running it for a couple of years now and I still think it sounds awesome, money well spent in my opinion but will be interesting to see how the vintage speed one compares.

thanks for posting those pics
What we are looking for is a WW muffler mounted on a bus to see how the muffler fits in relation to the rear apron.

Does anyone know if WW has corrected the super low hanging pipes?

Also, does the version for apron cut outs hit the apron? I can't find any photos of this version.
