What are these 2 wires on the firewall to?

OK I just got my stock 1600 back in to my 70 automatic Fastback. It fuel injected and bone stock.
My question is ::: WTF are these two wires coming out of the fire wall on the passenger side. They would be just behind the oil bath. One is black and one brown. car wont start and I have no idea were they go.

Both are automatic specific. The coloured diagram I have does not show them; however, the diagram in the Bentley which reveals their being has no colour…alas and alack.
