can anyone decipher what the decal says for me ? installed you cant really see it as its on the back side of the regulator . seems odd to be on the back side out of sight ???
google says the upper line " brytes plomberingen " translates to " the sealing is broken "
middle text translates to
" of kapan above relay grid not a guarantee "
the bottom line translates to " limited liability company robo stockholm " |

The language is Norwegian and Stockholm is in Sweden. I'm thinking this is a spare part for the Norwegian market distributed out of Robert Bosch's Sweden office so this wouldn't normally be on all of these regulators for other markets. Certainly not in that language. I'm sure other cars at the time use the same regulator, so not really a VW part per se. _________________ Chris

That would make sense. My question is, were these stickers applied to regulators installed at the VW factory or only on the spare parts? _________________ Chris

They aren't plated steel as far as I can tell. They appear to be phosphated bare steel.
