I'm late here - bought hot start relay for WBX Vanagon. A++
Excellent quality and fast shipping. Even included a jumper wire needed for Weekenders with 2nd battery-which virtually no one would have ever guessed as needed (which I have). _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

Nothing but good things to say about this product and its seller.

Great product/well made. Clear instructions (although they did reference a diagram on the back that wasn't there). _very_ well made (did I say that already?).
thanks

I bought a 6 volt hard start from thatvwbusguy for my 66 6v beetle and I now have a dependable ride. No more push starting! It arrived with clear instructions and very well put together. I installed it in under a half hour. After replacing the battery, the starter, the ignition coil, cleaning and crimping all connections and even attempting to build my own hard start relay with a 6v Ford solenoid my car finally starts ALL THE TIME! Best $31.50 I've spent on my bug. Thanks Jay!

Got my relay kit from Jay this weekend. Awesome product. You can tell Jay takes pride in his products and the quality is awesome. So glad I purchased this one from him over the normal Bosch hard start kit.
Looking forward to doing business with Jay again. |

Bought another item from Jay. Plug and play Vanagon rectangular to round headlight - ceramic connectors. Kit comes with zip ties and dielectric grease. I asked Jay for short separate grounds which he did at no extra cost and included 3 star washers to make a good ground.
A+++ again! _________________ John - 86 Wolfsburg Westfalia "Weekender"

I cannot say enough!
Jay was awesome to deal with! Great Hard start relay.
VERY well built and high quality, and super fast shipping. His response time from when I paid, and he shipped was almost like a miracle.
I hope to do business with him again! Was nice and smooth! _________________ 1968 Type 1

I picked up one of Jay Browns's hard start relays for a 6-volt Bug. The quality was superb and the relay works perfectly. She starts up every time, no problem.
I traded a couple of e-mails with Jay as I had some questions and wanted a spare 12-volt relay should I upgrade the electrical system in the future. He responded quickly and professionally. I could not have been more pleased with the transaction. Highly recommended.
Thanks. Jay. |

I ordered some wiring disconnects from Jay. They arrived quickly and the shipping was very reasonably priced. Communication was great, and he's really easy to do business with. I'd highly recommend him to anyone. |

I ordered a head light relay kit , a hot start relay kit and a horn relay kit. The quality of these wiring harnesses are great and they work well. I love the product. Shipping was fast and price is very reasonable.
I installed the above on my 1977 VW T2 2.0 FI
Thanks Jay |

I recently installed Jay's headlight relay kit (plus the hot start relay and alternator harness) on my 1985 T3 and it made a huge difference to my headlights. This is the best upgrade I have ever made in terms of "bang for your buck" and have ordered two more kits for my other VW's. |

I was having a few issues going on after a complete build of my 1.9l waterboxer. It hated hot starting with a passion only exhibited by ex-wives. It resisted firing up after it was warm and would.leave me high and dry to wait for the engine to cool down or hike it home and come back later.
So I bought Jay's super well priced hot start relay. Construction was top notch- as others have noted. Instructions were good - but after I installed the relay it wouldn't even crank. I emailed Jay to get some guidance - I figured it was a rookie error. He promptly replied and helped me through the process. Kudos to him for the support and help.
After installing this, another issue revealed its nasty head... my alternator wasnt charging my battery properly. I suspected it was yet another error of mine - connecting the alternator incorrectly upon initial installation... the housing was smoked, literally a fried mess of shit. After reading reviews of his alternator harness and having experienced his other product - I ordered his alternator harness. 2 days later, there it was. I installed it tonight. The biggest pain in the ass was the rain of crud from the original wiring mess. It took about an hour to install - very straight forward. Now my Christmas light display on the dash is gone *tear* & it seems to have plenty on electrical juice to be reliable.
Just wanted to let others know that his stuff is great, construction is superb, shipping is prompt and it makes the vans much more reliable. Thanks Jay for what you offer. I really appreciate it! _________________ 84 Vanagon - tintop, 1.9L wbx. Complete Rebuild done August 2014. 2000~ miles on it so far... SOLD

Installed the Hot Start and Headlight Relay Kits in a '60 split bus. Have taken a few road trips and everything has been great. Was really happy with the quality and installation was easy. Would buy from again, and will recommend to others. Thanks. _________________ 60 S0-23 Westy |
