Look in junk yds 4 crv's, under rear mat is this sq cover over a storage area underneath, this 'lid' is a table with folding legs, honda quality. Hate to look like a dummy but yesterday i had reason to do more than just raise lid to stuff something underneath, look 4 early yrs may be same on later yrs also. If your pass side seat don't swivel grab the folding cup holder thing between frnt seats while u r there.

I have this in my 2002. Should be the same for all 2002 to 2006 models. |

Took the table out of my wife's '99 CRV before trading in for the GTI she has now.
Always hated that car, but still have the table.
The dimensions of said table are 28x30.5 and opens up to a 24 inch height. _________________ Its a mistress; an expensive, whiney, needy bitch of a mistress. Well, the things I learned about my Honda on this Volkswagen forum!
I have a 2004 CRV, and I just went out and had to check.
Sure enough, there's a beautiful table there that I haven't used since I bought the car!
(In all fairness, my wife bought the car and give it to me a couple of years ago…) _________________ '86 Westy, 2.5 Subaru power

Quite the clever idea.
Apparently, the Element has a table as well, but it requires a separate purchase of table legs, which are now NLA. _________________ ~Kamz

Found one!
As im still at work, I sent the wife on a mission to grab the hidden table.
Me: Hi, have any 96 to 02 Honda Crv's?
Wrecking yard: yes, 3 of them.
Me: im looking for the plastic cover under the rear carpet in the cargo compartment, kinda like a spare tire well cover but square.
Wrecking yard: let me send a guy out and look, do you want it if he finds one?
Me: yes! If I send my wife over before you close, whats it going to cost me.
Wrecking yard: nothing, just remember us when you buy parts that I inventory
Me: THANKS! |

that's cool, how this is it when closed, i'm wondering if it'd attach to the inside of the sliding door. _________________ lucy our westy

Not sure if that's the later model sized, earlier were a bit smaller as per post above. _________________ Its a mistress; an expensive, whiney, needy bitch of a mistress. Thats a great idea!
Ill measure tomorrow. Its a nice height for sitting on the floor with the slider open or bag lawn chair height.

I've already reserved the table from my sister's CRV since she bought it
last year...when she gets rid of that car, I'll have myself a free table! _________________ 86 White Wolfsburg Westy Weekender

Crappy pic but I found a spot behind the edgestar on the drivers side panel.
Too thick to mount to the sliding door and uncomfortable when shoved flat under the rear of the bed.

That's nice ItalJohn. I like the forward release lever too. Can the molded plastic tabletop be unscrewed from that mechanism? If it's flat, can it be replaced with a Westy plywood tabletop? _________________
