| Is there a thread on 14 wheels/rims ? I have a 1970 Bay which currently has 15s on it and would like to go back to a 14. Looking for opinions/advice and also looking for rims. No OEM 14 rims for sale around middle Tennessee area. |

FWIW, I have VW 15" Smoothies on my bus (aquired about 6 years ago) and no issues to date.

Finally got my 14 rims in the mail this week. 2 questions.
Theyre 6 wide and the plate behind the drivers seat calls for tire size 7.00-14. Will the 1 difference in width from 7 to 6 create a problem with stability and/or drivability with my bus.
If I choose to powder coat should I replace clips after powder coat or before ? Can/should the clips be powdercoated ? |

Tread width and rim width are 2 different things, most 7:00 (175) tires use a 6" rim or less, don't worry.
Powdercoating the clips won't hurt them, if there's any broken ones change them now. If one breaks off soon after you can use a small machine screw and nut to avoid risking missing with the hammer to rivet it on and making a mess.
