I install the dual Kadrons to my KG 74, it is running nice, but now I have this issue :

The fan shroud is to wide that is really hard to tune the left carburetor and I couldn't install back one third arm ( left side ) that holds the compressor.

I was thinking to change the shroud, ( the rounded that suppose to give more space ) but after reading all post that recommend keeping the original for so many reasons, I do not know what to do.

Please your thoughts, ideas .

Thanks,

Ivan

If I am not mistaken, it looks that you are running an ICE type A/C bracket.

I am running much about the same bracket in a SuperBeetle using a 34PICT3 and am about to switch to a dual Dell setup.

You may try to change to another set of manifolds with more 'offset' to 'buy' more room for the one third arm.

I also noticed that your driver's side fresh sir vent clears the Kadrons manifold. Did you use the dealers modified shroud which had the vent repositioned to clear the a/c compressor?

Is it possible for you to take a close shot and show us how it looks down there?

On the other hand, is that a CSP bellcrank linkage that you are using?

IMO, apart from the fact that space is a bit tight, it looks pretty good overall.

I get the kit from AJ Sims, and I ask him to make the vacuum port to connect to the distribuitor, by the way, works really good, very impressive diference.

The shroud is the original that came with the car. I get the AC from a Samba member but I modified the main stand because it was very close to the distribuitor.

The linkage is the up grade unit that sells AJ Simms. ( I get the complete kit from him, manifolds, carbs, linkage, filters, etc )

As soon as I can will take a picture and post it.

do you need the heaters? if not, you can try putting the compressor lower down.

Your best bet would still be getting another manifold with more 'offset' so that the carb could stand further away from the shroud.
