My camera is recharging right now so I don't have a pic.

I'm hoping someone can tell me what the small switch (almost looks like a door buzzer/light contact switch) near the base of the parking brake handle is for on my 76 Westy. If its a PO add on, I guess I'll have to trace it under the dash tomorrow.

I looked in Bentley and Muir and didn't see it in either.

Thanks!

Turns the brake light on in the dash when the e-brake is on. It's factory.

If I am not mistaken that switch turns off the yellow
brake warning light. The light on the dash is to remind
you to release the parking brake. Cool

Thanks guys! I knew it was a stupid question but I had to ask. It seems an unusual design for that purpose.

Thanks again!

Can someone tell me what color wires you have going to this switch, I have brown (grd) and light green (light doesn't work), I looked at a wiring diagram and it looks like it should be red and blue ?

That light is supposed to be red, they just fade to that clear/yellow color over time.

It's white/green on all the diagrams I've seen.

Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, F9 Parking brake control light switch, track 55 ? or is this not the contact switch ?
