It's not that easy as "Right click save", but 5 min. later I've uploaded it to Youtube Smile:

realplayer allows you to save and play flash based video. There are other programs as well.

It's not flash video - it's WMV. If anyone want it - send me an PM with e-mail address.

There was an auction in Butler, PA where there was a "corner stone" flag for sale. It had the regular Nazi symbol and then the KDF symbol on the flag. It was about 20ftX14ft. It went for $3500, it was a popular item (my brother was at the auction).

I didn't see any of the flags in the VW ceremony with the cog logo.

How in the HELL did that thing end up in Butler???

^^^^thats funny^^ and a damn good question!

My brother went to an auto parts auction that was packed with old car stuff, pumps, oil cans, toys, and then this big flag. It might have been a much more common flag and the seller just associated it with the cornerstone ceremony.

In Der Spiegel nr 3 6 / 1 9 9 8.

Goo... translite.

Craftsmen have discovered the lost foundation of the VW plant in Wolfsburg during construction work. When the head office was rebuilt in the fifties, a VW construction manager took the old foundation stone, which had been admitted by Adolf Hitler in 1938 by hand. For years he used the relic as a birdbath in his garden to bury it later on the factory grounds - where exactly, he kept to himself. Last week, a water pipe broke the secret revealed: The symbolic piece was under the pavement in front of the headquarters.

In the catacombes of the factory, in a bunker, they have established a little museum concerning the forced labourer during the WW. During a guided tour concerning this theme, you can see it.

Yes, I have seen and touched it. But as taking pictures is strictly forbidden, it will be hard to find any newer pictures of it. It still looks like on the pictures above, with a destroyed cover. Perhaps the "scoutmaster" has swung his hammer too hard...

Hmm and i have never heard that it even was found, and then you can touched it!! But why would it be forbidden to take pictures on an stone? Is´t for the sign on it....

Germany has very strict laws against displaying the swastika. I suspect that the Public Relations problems also has something to do with it. Finally since it is a tribute to the "forced labor" taking pictures would be disrespectful to their memory.

It is not only forbidden to take picutres of the stone, it is forbidden to take pictures on the complete area of the Volkswagenwerk. Especially in the buildings there is no way to take pictures, also in the catacombes. The guided tour including the bunker and forced-labour-history goes also through the production floors.
