That guy's a helicopter pilot now.......

At least two outfits provide helicopter tours of Mount St. Helens. Applebee Aviation (http://www.applebeeaviation.com/tours.htm) offers three different rides starting at $149. My wife selected the $249 “Awesome Combo,” a 45-minute adventure that is inadequately named and under-priced. At Eco Park Resort on that mind-blowing Saturday afternoon, I joined two other thrill-seekers in a Bell 206B Jet Ranger piloted by Patrick Hall, who doubled as an amiable, expert narrator. |

Yes but they were actually water transfer decals not handpainted.
Ken just got lazy in the last portion of his build. _________________ 53 Canadian standard oval

whos scab is that? thats fuckin BAD ASS. love the safari rear, but no safari fronts. Perfect.
Im not a big fan of the flappy windows myself. |
That was on the way to the Red Barn before Kelly part. Patrick had just picked up skim and I from the air port in Sac town the night before, we spent the majority of the time working on Patricks front end that night as I remember. I look that picture rolling with Izzy and Brotha Dave in Daves mopar wagon(I think thats what it was). Great times. _________________ the original

Definitely 101 North near Morgan Hill (hills in the background to the east)
I believe you have just been called a liar Trayle.
If you were with Brotha Dave AND Izzy in a station wagon you were gagged and hog tied. No way you could have taken a picture. |

Plus if he was with Izz and Brother Dave that picture would have been taken with one hand since he probably would have had a Red Stripe beer in the other hand. _________________ I own a copy of "The Car of the Century" by Garwood. This means I am authorized to act like a twat in thesamba forums. |

Great work, Ken. I found this blog few days ago; your skills are amazing.
I own a 1954 25A (so mine would be the seventh).
I think one detail on your bus is not quite right: Kombis with sunroof do have a roof-panel: if I was able to post pics here, I would show you my bus.
So look at http://vintagebus.com/ click Parts Manuals, then 3. Typ II VW Parts Reference (1950 - 1954), then Main Group 8, page 403 and 404.
Btw: please let us participate in your latest project! |

It was one year ago today that I rolled the old girl into the shop for the start of the restoration. Seemed fitting to put a final touch on today. It's a Canada only rear decal. It's a dry transfer type reproduced by Chris Murray. Thanks Chris!
OK. That is it. The end. _________________ C-1 |
