I had been looking at building a thing because I really like my other car which is a 4 seater but It needed more room. But things are hard to find and not cheap.

I had saw a 4 door bug at the Irvin classic a couple years back and I thought it was the coolest thing to build a baja out of.

I just happened to have another baja bug shell sitting around so I figured why not build a 4 door baja loots of people have talked about it so I decided to dive right in head first.
First my concept drawing.

This is where the car sits right now I am thinking of keeping the roof to keep it looking more like a bug.
If it looks bad I can always just cut it off.

I’m always open for ideas and pointers.

YOu still have to deal with cables, and extending the pan, this is a very time consuming build, and challenging, but well worth it, good luck!

This is a great idea, definitely one of the most innovative ideas on here lately. Although if I were to do it, I would pull the rear end of the car forward more, so the wheel well is 1/4 of the way in the door so you dont have the goofy third window thing going on.

Keep the pics coming!

(edit) as for the roof, a sliding ragtop or two?

Im not going to run any side windows Im even going to cut the tops of the doors off. So the side of the car will be one big opening like in a sand car. At least that’s the plan.

Thats going to be a sick biuld.
Might as well widen it 5" or so while your at it.
It wouldnt look so long and skinny.
With your 6x6s and the right front end it would look sick. Bug on roids.
