Yes the pump sprays with out the tire being connected. The line from the tire looks like it is connected but is just on the valve, not screwed on enough to give the reservoir pressure. The pump is from Moss Motors for english sports cars and they all are located above the reservoir so they all suck and pump. I looked at locating the pump some place else but it just does not give me what I wanted. This arrangement is good as everything, reservoir, pump, back flow preventer, wiring is together.

I realize this is thread necromancy, but this is an awesome idea that I really wanted to figure out how to do, so thanks for posting.

I just bought these https://www.ebay.com/itm/382799098852, I will get them in a week, and ill do the mod within a month or so. Ill post my results.

Thanks to this post I now have washers! This guide was perfect, I ended up going the relay route (I had one laying around in my stash). Thank you so much for posting the detailed guide!
