One of my two VW's. Took this picture just a few minutes away from my childhood home. This LL was gifted to me in April of last year from a couple who I got the car running for back in 2010. _________________ PNW Dub Folk & Kitsap dub Folk (KdF)

Had the car 51 years and always worried about long trips and not breaking down. Like 100 miles. Turned 66 this year so thought this would be a good year to do Route 66. Since the wife and I both have an old car, I thought it would be safer to take both cars. A spare one I guess. About 4,200 miles to Phoenix and back. The Gremlin had a poor battery connection in Amarillo, made us 15 minutes late for dinner, but otherwise the cars ran perfectly! This was the best picture of ours of the trip. |

My favorite picture of my car is soon to be created when I get it back from the body shop after a professional buff-out. _________________ “If you care for a thing long enough, it takes on a life of its own, doesn't it?
