Thats what I was thinking, Probally is a Eastern European coachbuilt, I would roll the shit out of it. _________________ Mike "Delamaize"

Definitely Kubel-based as opposed to Barndoor based, with the presence of the RGB's AND trans tunnel (or what's left of them rather )
Wouldn't it be crazy if this turned out to predate the first T2 prototypes? _________________ Check my classifieds for kewl gauges:

The documents seem to be in Serbian(?), not Russian and from what I seem to able to understand, the chasis number is stated as Z-017331 which kind of look like it may correspond to early 1943, and the engine number is mentioned as 2-10132 (?). Horsepower is stated as 24, so pretty clear on the Kubel running gear.
Interesting that the date July 29, 1960 is all over the document. This could be the first date of registration of this vehicle???
Split screen buses were a 10 year old design by this time. _________________ Check out my Facebook page: Volkswagen Prototypes. |

Looks like it could use a new throw out bearing and starter bushing. _________________ Mother Nature is a Mean Evil Bitch! |

is this bus for sale? I might be interested. Contact me if it is.
I owned the 1956 Goliath 23 window express bus with a sunroof at one point. Only 3 known in the world but nobody cared in the USA. The bus guys would not accept it as a bus. It had an aluminum body, steel cab, wood floors, 900cc 2 cylinder 2 stroke engine with front wheel drive. Parts are like hens teeth. Engine parts even rarer. I sold it to a guy in Poland because that is the only place on earth that had any parts. It is getting a full restoration.

… people always ask me, what my plan is, concerning old cars, I find - and I always reply, I have no plans - I tend to live in the moment and rarely know what the circumstances will be, in the future and rarely make plans...
just know, i'll never sell those old cars - just have fun, owning and repairing them, researching and discussing them - also, couldn't care less, if I ever drive them - they are monuments - and when I croak, our son, will assume responsibility...
… ownership, looking for parts, repairing, is all the fun for us - especially in this time of global-warming - soon, we'll be an electric, renewable energy globe and these old heaps will be our monuments-to-the-past - z _________________ 5/50, pastel green 11G - SOLD

It looks really small, having those wheel arches and a single door. I love it!
Another East European version here.
