You could try cleaning the valves to see if it helps.
I did this on my van a while back and it's been running great ever since: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=544333

In this image from Zippy, the hole in the top left corner. Try blowing air into it, I used an electric pump with a
length of tube connected to it. Gave it a few seconds of air and burner worked as good as new.

Dust bunnies or webs can disrupt the gas flow in there. Look in the holes. Just use a soda straw and blow some air through those 2 intake holes with your mouth. Blow hard.

I remember one of mine wouldn't light/burn very strong so ended up blowing some compressed air through the line and after hearing a quick "floomp" sound it burned nicely.

One of the two burners in my Westy wasn't working properly, producing a yellow flame when operating. I just followed zippy's great tutorial on cleaning his stove burners and mine are now working perfectly. Including both on the lowest setting, neither of which worked before. Thanks for the great post!
