TIRE SURVEY

For each brand and size tire are you running on your Karmann Ghia(s),
please provide:

Tire Brand: Goodyear Triple Tread

Tire Size: 195-60-15

Tire "series" and/ or type: All weather, no information in snow, but in Florida rain, they are good.

Approximate cost each (unmounted): about $95

Wheel: Please respond only if non-stock: Porsche
Wheel manufacturer & / or wheel name: Fuchs 2.0l
Diameter: 15
Width: 5.5
Offset: 40
(If front and rear are different, please provide both sets of data.)

If Radial: Belt material (from sidewall): Steel
Sidewall construction:

If bias-ply: Tube or tubeless?

White-wall width?
White-wall on both sides of tire?

Does this tire mounted on this wheel fit in the _undamaged_ nose of a Karmann Ghia? NO!!!
(_Please_ answer either yes, no, or unknown. If front and rear rims / tires differ, please provide all data.)


Treadwear: 740
Traction: A
Temperature: B

Tire Fit: Great with no rubbing front or back.
Lowered in front by how much: stock
Lowered in rear by how much: stock
Front axle beam narrowed by how much: stock
Tire rubs coachwork in all the following places: none

Additional remarks: (Do you like the tire? Durable? Handling? etc.) They made a huge difference in handling. No more rolling, just grip and hang on... Very Happy

RIGHT ON!

Definetly grippy, I had these on my daily driver/weekend track car for a season. Better wet traction than some tires have dry, and snow traction is excellent as long as you have more than 60% or more of the tread left. Breakaway is a little sudden, so if you push the limits at speed, you may want to look at something that will give a little more warning.

The Dunlops seem to handle pretty well, but that's hard to say considering that they are on a 1966 Ghia. I mean it doesn't handle like my '01 Mustang GT did, that's for sure.

I love my 165/80R15 on my 69 Karmann Ghia, they look great but I bought 5 and i just found out the spare is too wide (diameter is 25.25 inches and too tall to fit in the well and close the trunk. What size does fit and yes I will have two different size wheels if i need to use the spare.
