the upper one. as said above it isn't the alternator that matters, it is which heater boxes you are using. so the upper bracket is used for '72-'74 and '79 either with the 70A alternator or the 55A. _________________ SL |

no nothing to do with the engine(unless its a type 1) its the heater boxs theres 2 types the 72-74 and the 75-79
72-74 heater box= top one in pic
75-79 heater box= bottom one in pic
