Oh the pleasure of driveing at a comfortable clip on the hwy. I averaged 60+ over 17 both ways, never down shifting once. I love my van. I passed a fella with a board that appeared to have a swap. I slowed down to give him th eol thumbs up and mashed all the way there. Oh what a feeling.....
The 1.8t is the biz.... |

It's a completely different experience driving a Syncro with usable power.. _________________ '90 Syncro Westy 1.8T with 180hp 174 torque, CA safe!

These vans are a lot more fun when you are able to keep up with traffic or pass if so desired |

Averaged 60+???
Thru all those 40 and 45 mph turns? With traffic???
Got race tuned suspension?
Must be nice though.. I did that drive on TG Day. With my new tires my gearing is forced "taller". Leaving me in 3rd most of the way over the top.
But I can carry 55-60 uphill in 3rd thru most of it winding the 2.1 up to 4000rpm and a bit. Seldom bogging down much below 45-50ish.
Can't wait for the SVX. Then I'll be taking HWY 9, EVERY time.. instead. _________________ -89 GL Westy, SVX.. finally.
