I've just got this nice box and would like to know some more about it please. From my research it may be an 880 or 906 range item, or something different. Pre '65 but can it be dated any more accurately?
It is devoid of tools but can anyone identify what model it was and what would have been in it please? I cannot make out what the yellow text on the front would have been - any guesses?
What is the purpose of the trough alon the hinge side and the clip which is just off centre?
Would it have had an insert of some sort? I'm assuming it did and it was made of steel - does anyone repro these or are they available from Hazet still?
I love the logo inside:
I've not decided what to do with it yet except clean up some of the heavy rust. I'd love to fill it with the original tools but that will cost a fortune and take years to locate so in the interim it'll house some other tools.
Cheers, Dave |

Hi there!
My Name is Wolf and Im from Bochum in Germany.Im reading here for many Years because I collect all Sorts of Tools.I have a big Collection of Hazet-Tools, althrough I sold most of the (for me useless) Volkswagen-related Stuff to buy other Tools;-)
I found a pretty confusing 19mm Hazet-Socket in my Boxes, its stamped "VW 155".
Can anybody tell me anything about it?
I was told it >could< be from the Toolkit of a Type 82 or 166....???
Best Regards
Wolf
>Edit:Uploaded the Pics to the Gallery instead of Photobucket,Thank you for the Advice Dave!

Photobucket links are not working Wolf. You are better to upload the photos into the gallery here. Dave |

My first spanner/adjustable wrench/swedish key/monkey wrench, or what you call them
In sweden they are called skiftnyckel

In Belgium it's called 'English wrench' and in the Netherlands 'Bahco' like the brand who makes them often.
Bought this giant some time ago:

Interesting names for that tool
Crescent wrench, is that from the swedish(former american) bicycle brand?
Bahco is from the swedish tool manifactor, I think thats why its called swedish key sometimes.
English wrench was new to me _________________ 65 DD klenbus
