Why does it look like the passenger side seats on both are highback and the one with the nose grill has an oval window shape on rear window?

aftermarket rear defroster and aftermarket head restraints or somebody swapped seats?

Good catch on the higher seat back, I would guess aftermarket headrests too

Headrests that came with my '63 Squareback but installed in my old Type 34 for a minute
