OK so I just resonantly bought a 67 deluxe. My plan is to do some medal work with NO experience with welding. I will also be putting a 4" narrowed beam and IRS.
This will be my first go at it and I think I'm ready. Here are some pictures of it when I got it and some of the work I have started.

This is the rear after I banged out both corners.

So far I have cut out a quarter of the cargos floor

I will be replacing A Pillar, B Pillar, And C pillar

I will also be replacing both out riggers, jack points and dog leg on the passenger side.
I will post as I go. I know there will me mistakes alone the way. All I can say is bring on the pain. _________________ 56 jungle green oval ragtop

OK so I have done some more to the bus. Both lower areas on the stationary windows were pretty full of cancer. So I cut out the passenger side and cut in a nicer piece.
Here is what it started out like

Here is what I did.

So while I had it open I por 15 inside and the back of the piece I was putting in.

The replacement piece.

Here it is cut into place. I still need to weld it. Thats next

I have a buddy (Kenny Thanks bro) helping me out with some welding till I get the hang out it. I will post pictures when its welded in. _________________ 56 jungle green oval ragtop

OK so today we made some good progress. We got the window area and the battery tray welded in.
I think it came out great. Next I will put a little body filler sand her down and spray her with some OG Cumulus White.
Here are some photo's.
This is my boy Kenny welding.
This is after I grinded down the welds.
This is it.
I'll be cleaning this up a little more the seam sealer and that will be the new resting spot for a battery.
Well thats all for now. I will be back at it tomorrow and all this coming week. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for all the help Kenny.. _________________ 56 jungle green oval ragtop

OK so today I used a little body filler to fill where we had are weld line. I put it in primer for now and I bought some cumulus white so once I'm done I'll do a blend.
Here is the finished panel minus the paint.
[/img]
I also did a test to see if using a football in the nose would push a dent out. Well it worked now mine needs to be banged out a little but I can live with it like it is.

[/img]
Not to bad I can see it working nice with a pushed in dent.
My next task will be the drivers side stationary window.
I'll post pictures as that is getting done. It will be a little more work because I will need to change the inside as well.
Thanks for looking. _________________ 56 jungle green oval ragtop

Well I think we got allot done over the holiday. So as of right now I cut out all the old cancer and I cut in the new green metal (The funk) so far I love Gerson's metal. It fits very well not much cutting to fit.(So far)
Anyway here are some new photos. There is VERY little tweaking and then we will start welding. (Hopefully this weekend.)
This is what it started as
[img]
[/img]
[/img]
This is the rear jack point and the C-Pillar or that is what it's suppose to be.
Now I know this looks like swiss cheese but I cut out the cheese as you'll see in the next couple pics.
[/img]
[/img]
Now I will be changing the dog leg but that will be after I get it driving.
[/img]
[/img]
I have to cut out the rocker as well.
[/img]
B-Pillar
[/img]
C-Piller
[/img]
[/img]
Like I said just a little more tweaking.
[/img]
[/img]
Here is the C-pillar in place.
[/img]
Yes I am putting the strengthener in as well I know its not in the picture.
[/img]
[/img]
Well that is were we stopped as of now. I do still have to weld it in and rust prof it. I also want to make sure everyone know that this is my FIRST time doing something like this. So if anyone has a suggestion please feel free. Because I know there are allot on more experience then me.
Thanks for all your help Kenny.
And thanks for looking. _________________ 56 jungle green oval ragtop
