check out what i towed home today for the massive cost of $50,

it has a trans in it but no motor, interior is some wired custom job but still makes use of the stock fridge, it's a '70, front seats are trashed, just a bed platform in the back, needs new front floor pan and 1 rear corner panel, battery trays look good and to be honest the trans looks newer then most i've seen so i'm hoping for good things there, my camera's not working so i'll post more photo's on monday, anything else you guys would know about the model would be helpful, like what kind of pop top and any repo's out there? or did someone hack it in? the fasteners that hold them are vw stock for sure but never ever have i seen that before.

also if you see the brown strips on the paint job those are actaully pieces of wood paneling,

yeah me too, that and the sub hatch are . only reason i decided to pick it up,

after having my other bus for.....what's my join date?.... and camping in it alot since then i found for me and my girl the full westy top is a bit much for just the 2 of us.

and i'm going to pull some of the stripes off sand them down and re stain them and hang them, i really really like the wood paneling idea!

buff that shi* out!!!!!! that will shine great!!
don't remove the wood the metal underneath is likely rusted . it will be opening a can of worms.
those stripes make it look very long

hell ya just going to wet sand it and figure something todo about the wood, from a walk around the only spot on the bus where the fasteners have rusted out behind the wood paneling is just one spot on the rear corners other then that for the most part it's good.

i like the overrides and hella fog lamps on the front i think i'm going to keep it like this but just make it nice.

no marysville, some kid was just giving it away, another person was on their way and i told him i'd give him $50 and be there in an hour, so i kinda stole it from someone, lol, but to be honest i had my eye on this bus for a few months now but he was originally wanting $300 for it and i don;t have that money right now.
