That was an era of amazing vehicles. *sigh*
I miss muscle cars. |
If I took that same shot today, it'd be mostly Subarus. Maybe this spring, I'll recreate this with my bus and in 50 yrs people will say "Damn, look at all them subies!" _________________ Erik

Still as rad of a thread as it was when it began!
Love these photos. My dad’s grandparents owned two Westies in the 70’s, both pop tops. I remember seeing the white one but can’t remember the color of the second. They traveled from mid-state West Virginia to the Carolinas a lot for vacations. Pop used to play in the back above the engine. I’ve seen photos at my Uncle’s, next time I’m there I’ll did them up.
Keep the memories coming everyone _________________ The Bus Barn Ltd. Co.

And funnily enough, those Soobs would have just about the same horsepower as many of the muscle cars, just nowhere near the style. _________________ nothing |

I was browsing through photos by Australian photographer Carol Jerrems and saw this one taken in Sydney in 1973.

I was more impressed with the film capturing the focus of the dog. He’s has his eyes LOCKED on that ball (or trailer ball cover ) |
Outside, Pan-X, shooting about 1/250 (a bit of leg blur) so stop about f8-F11?
From that distance, you would get pretty good DOF.
Wankers today don't know the feeling of going back to the newspaper and having to have faith that the shot the Editor wanted is on latent film or you were getting fired. _________________ .ssS! |

Here's me, going to work or school in the very early '80s. I still have the roof rack but not this bus.

Strangely enough, the first thing I noticed is that her outfit matches the bus perfectly. _________________ nothing |

I never thought of gators, I was wondering how intense the insect action would be there and what a test it would be for the bug screens, mosquito coils and Off. I also thought it was good it was still newish and the parking brake was reliable, otherwise the morning wake up might be undesireable.
Cool place to camp though. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
