Clamps painted or bare?

Hi there,

I am renovating an old roof rack and have now received the missing claps which I ordered.

Were the clamps originally bare or did they come in the same silver color as the roof rack itself?

Painted to match the rack or car ?

I'd say the rack. I doubt they'd have different colored clamps to match all car colors.

Ok. So if I understand you correctly, the clampst came originally from the German manufacturer painted in silver as the roof rack itself?
