Hello Marcus,
I need help. I have a customer who would like us to manufacture a set of standard door panels and seat cover for a June of 1948 Standard Beetle. I would like to know if you have the material for sale. Give me a call when you have a moment.
Best Regards,
Enrico

Hi Enrico,
that will be ready in 3 month, i hope
Now i will also have the matching sidepanelfabric called "sugerbag" in matching bluegrey availeble. Some cars had "sugerbag" and some the same as the seatfabric, so you can choose. Have to check what the new price will be, the chinese guys buy all the wool

I bought a VW 1950 and there followed with new material to a complete standard interior.
I have left the new fabric to a company who will do the job for me.
But i've problem to find good pictures on how a standard seat should look like.
I emailed the company that sold the material and asked about the name on the fabric and if he had some picture on how a seat should look like.
Some mails later without any answers i got an short answer.
"I am not your information desk"
I have been in VW world for 36 years and i have bought and sold car/parts through the hole world but i have never received such a rude answer ever.
A person i have had great respect for for his nice interior work.
But now he have lost all my respect.
I'm maybe a small customer for him but i will never ever buy anything from him.
If if'm so have to sit on the springs and drive my 24 cars.
I asked for a pictures on an seat, not the recept on COCA COLA!!
Please is there someone that have some nice pictures on a standard seat.
Thanks for your help. _________________ Me and my sons cars Typ1 -49 -50 -51 -52 -52 -53 -53 -54 -55 -55 -56 -56 -57 -58 cab -64 cab

that is three different cars, two 51's and a 49. your 50 will have the same pattern/stitching as the top and bottom examples. the 49 seat backrest has a different pattern along the top. _________________ drive your split. |

Hi!
I have the fabric with right pattern already.
But the company that shall do the job has never done such a Standard job before, only de luxe job.
But with your pictures they will fix it.
Thanks for your help. _________________ Me and my sons cars Typ1 -49 -50 -51 -52 -52 -53 -53 -54 -55 -55 -56 -56 -57 -58 cab -64 cab

right, the material is different for 49/50/51 but what I meant was the way the seat covers are sewn together is different for 50/51 than 49, so don't copy the 49 seats. _________________ drive your split. |
