I've been lurking for a while, gathering advice before taking the plunge and purchasing this weekender from LynnABCs.
It's really cool, I've wanted a westy for years. While it runs well there are so many little projects (New Skylight, but it leaks at the corners, all the cupholders are broken, rear windshield wiper doesn't work, etc).
The gas lines ARE new though, so I don't have to worry about that.
Anyway I especially wanted to introduce myself, and see if there is anyone here from Knoxville/East Tennessee or even Western North Carolina. This is my first Vanagon, don't know anyone who owns one, so if anyone wants to meet up, go creeking/ climbing/ or mountain biking and compare rides, I would learn a lot.... |

Nice ride I always liked the burgundy 86-87 Wolfsburgs with tan interior.
I'm in NC, piedmont area currently, formerly Asheville. Still go back to visit pretty often. Once you're road ready there are some cool campouts around. I might try to make the OBX leg of the sunshine treffen in April. The more the merrier!
