About to install a cb hideaway turbo system in my 67... i'm thinking of making the rear apron bolt on to make things a little easier..
has anyone done this? pics or a build thread would be sweet! |

I wish VW would have done that like they did the busses. Many it would sooooo much easier to remove the engine. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.
Numbers Matching VW's are getting harder to find. Source out the most Stock vehicle and keep that way. You will be glad you did.

X2. Most of these types of modifications require a lot more work then it will take to remove the engine the rest of the time you own the car.
And if you do it right, there will be welding and paint work involved that also boost the cost.
It's been done many times before, both with a removable apron, or with a one piece rear that also incorporates the rear fenders and fender skirts.
But again, unless you plan to remove the engine multiple times, it's usually not worth the time and effort. _________________ Mother Nature is a Mean Evil Bitch! |
