What shape is the mirror and where does it go on the fenders? I have seen some up high and some near the body line.

Is there a good re-pop mirror or are they way off on shape?

thanks,

P-

The Low Light Exterior Mirror was installed by the dealer in the USA through 1965. There where 3 (maybe 4) slightly different mirrors, all on a swan neck installed on the driver side only. I have an old dealer paper mounting template that I need to dig up and post. Roughly, placement is about an inch above the fender seam (concave one on the inside) and one stud is in front of the hinge sill (inside the fender) the the other behind. So yes, you need to remove that piece when installing the mirror.
