Bosch 019, was used on 1954-1959 Type 2 with 36hp engine. It has 17 degrees advance all in as 3200rpm. It's cast iron. They were black ones that were OE, the blue ones were sold aftermarket in the "Screamer" kit... they are mechanically identical.

Distributors are voltage neutral, meaning they can work on either 6 volts or 12 volts.

Rare is a relative term.

There are usually a few for sale in the classified. Core are worth $20-$50 depending on if they are complete and not a rusted paper weight.

Any other questions?
