What are you guys using for door panels? I'm curious what everyone has in their baja?
I wish someone made weather/water proof door cards for Beetles... I haven't found any. I've seen some for Busses. I guess I could make some... I'm trying to figure out what to use for my son's baja. I may go the aluminum route, but not sure yet. _________________ Phillip Bradfield

I used a plastic auto repair shop sign from my old work place. Its water proof. Keeps the water inside the door unfortantly.

I do have a few new cards for late bugs.
Problem is, one side has the door pockets, and the other side does not. I do not remember which side is which. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey

Door? What's this "door" thing you speak of?
Sorry, I couldn't resist...
I have used rubber household doormats before. |

I have diamond plate metal on my door panel rear side panels and my rear speaker panel behind rear seat
I actualy bought another sheet today for a kick panel under my rear seat
You buy a big sheet and just cut with a wheel grinder and file away they look great when your done
I'm sure I might have diamonds on my arm in the summer time haha oh well _________________ First car orange '72 class 11 lookalike |

I'm in the process of building mine right now...
1/4 Marine grade plywood with 1000 denier cordura nylon upholstery.
I say upholstery, but it's just glued down. |

If you have a plastic/acrylic company close by, you could use 1/8-1/4" sintra or styrene. Both come in a variety of colors, reasonably priced, and very easy to work with. |
