I came across this in Jerome AZ a few years ago. I’m guessing it’s a Karmann. I think I like it. It would be great for camping. That body has got to be heavy, what’s the chance it has a 2L in it? Anyone ever own one of these?
And yes I did a search but came up empty. _________________ Tools of the Professional Drifter;

I could imagine that coasting down from Flagstaff but not driving up from Phoenix. _________________ 71 Superbug

I bet it handles great in the wind. Try taking that over the Golden gate or the Bay Bridge! _________________ All the redemption I can offer, girl, is beneath this dirty hood

It's a Jurgens Auto Villa, not a Karmann camper. _________________ First Trip in the RustyBus:

I have pics of that bus from Jerome as well. It was parked up at the Gold King Mine, not at the campout itself. _________________ Eric

Jurgens Auto Villa, got it. It helps the google search when you have the right name. Looks like their still in business.

That worked, easy fix. From your photo it looks like part of the collection of the guy who owns the Gold King Mine. He has a lot of odd stuff in there. If I had money and land in AZ I would probably do the same thing. _________________ Tools of the Professional Drifter;

The Gold King Mine is awesome. I spent probably 2 hours just looking around; and i doubt I saw it all. _________________ Eric

Really like that rear roof from a '47 Studebaker Starlite coupe used as a front porch/entryway overhang going into one of the vehicle display buildings ("Studebaker Shop"?). http://www.turnpikecruiser.com/gallery/Arizona_Road_Trip/Gold_King/Gold_King_Mine_22.jpg.html

Yeah, you'd roll a bus with a house and roof on it, so that doesn't surprise me |

Is that really a Jurgens? looks more like a conversion performed in the US somewhere based on the style of the body. Personally I think they look OK, good if you want maximum camper space but want to keep the VW thang going.
