How the heck do you get these white clips installed?? They hold the vapor hose in place and also the cable for my fuel gauge to fuel tank. I've already broken one trying to get the ball end to fit in the hole on the body. There must be a trick. Any ideas???

That's a new question. I've never had that issue with them. Do the holes in the body have a lot of respray-paint or undercoating on the back side filling them up? if that's the case, maybe run a rat-tail file through them a little bit. _________________ Andy T.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox. |

If the holes are not closed up, would turn the file on the clips instead.
EG bus shift rod bushings need the locking tab to be whittled down to fit the hole in the steel rod.
Seems to be not a lot of incentive for manufactures of these old VW parts to keep up the molds as they would have been when tens of thousands of the cars were being made new. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |
