I am still looking for my 63 double cab. Reward is now up to $1500.00
If you can see the picture the trash bags are not part of the VW. |

I was thinking about this issue today. I was driving back from Page, AZ. I thought to myself how awesome it would be if your double cab passed me going the other direction. I would have turned around and followed and call the authorities. Its wierd the things to think about while driving. I hope this thing pops up soon!

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

I check into the split-bus forum every day in the hopes there's a post saying that your DC was recovered. Good wishes coming your way! |

Shipped abroad? Worth checking with Kingstown and other agents to see if something matching the decription gets booked-in. Could easily be blown over with a quick masking paint job.
Given the money these things fetch, and how saught-after they are over here, there's a chance it may end up being shipped to the UK...though only if the thief can get a convincing Title (...on the other hand, any idiot can write up a Bill of Sale) I'll keep an eye out in the two main forums here, but it wouldn't show for a few weeks at best. That said, we do get plenty of dealers who pre-advertise before they've even set sail. Plus, even a reputable seller might get taken in and broker it in good faith if they dont know about it.

I'm so sorry, I'm keeping a lookout. I'd probably know within a few minutes if it went through where I live. Not a big VW scene at all, and everyone knows that I loves busses, so I'd probably get a few calls if anyone saw it. That's what happens in a town of 10,000. I'll keep a lookout nonetheless.

The one on the car hauler has the camper/tow mirrors on it. Not saying you can't change mirrors, but it's different. _________________

I've seen a white dc heading east on Ray from Rural in Chandler a few times recently. I'll see if I can spot the rear corner next time I see it. |
