I am cutting the top off my 67 vw. I am going to weld supports across the walls behind the seats and under the windshield. I am weilding the doors shut. I am wondering if there is anything else I need to do to reinforce the body? Sorry to all who find it tragic to cut these. I appreciate your opinions but really am looking for usefull advice to help me do what I have already decide to do so it gets done right. I understand volksrod is a popular sugestion but I could not find specifics on their site most of the forum post deal with chops not cutting off. Thanks for the time. |

Instead of welding the doors shut (which can be most inconvenient to those people who are either not limber enough or have an injury), why not just do something similar to a convertible support instead?
