Wow. Savage seam rust, torn upholstery, nasty stains on the mattress - and plenty of rust underneath. What's not to like?
The bumpers are gorgeous, though. _________________ '84 Vanagon GL 1.9 WBX

Must be driven by a troll, with the battery behind the rear seat how do you sit in it? The missing sliding door handle is a theft deterrent.
That's a great 14K van. It's redeeming value is the Subaru which can not be registered in California.
Good luck selling, hopefully they come back and let us know what it sold for.

Got to love that moldy pop-top ceiling!
Another example of someone wanting every dime spent on parts and labor.
Van is only worth what it is, not what you spent. Good reason to DIY.
But hey, it's #vanlife right? _________________ Currently:

Yikes. Something tells me those tires have a load rating of about 93-95.
I'd be interested in learning if this is the result of a sincere thought process or if the seller is just entirely disconnected from Vanagon reality. _________________ - Jim

So even with that serious amount of rust, you guys think it's really worth 14 k ?
I must be way out of touch with vanagon pricing _________________ One of these days I'm gonna settle down,

the engine air scoops are a nice touch. Only thing that bugs me is that one side as chicken wire and the other doesn't. |

No pics of the bed either, WTF |
That what I was thinking, too. The meeting points of the various planes around the back of the cab might be verrry interesting! _________________ '84 Vanagon GL 1.9 WBX

Oh the shame of it, what they did to a stock Samos Beige/ Assuan Brown Vanagon.... not that I'm biased about that particular Color Combo, mind you....
I don’t see the the upper metal coolant pipe on the engine that sits almost center left on top usually , but it looks like a 1.9 liter cooling system, yes? _________________ '68 Westy- my first VW and vehicle/Bus- long gone.- sold it to a traveling Swiss couple....

OK so the guy is in Ohio with an 'abandoned' van from Michigan he's listing on ebay. w/o a title or prior owner contact info.
under the dust/grime I'm sure that 2tone blue will polish up nicely.
but the lack of proper ownership paperwork is a no deal for me.

1983 Volkswagen bus brought to my shop almost 10 years ago for a water leak and never picked up. Very nice body, no rust and no title. I will have a notarized bill of sale so you can try to get a title or use it for parts. I know where it came from and it has the owners licence plates on it but I have not been able to find her. If the owner is found she won't want to pay the storage bill so I am selling it. It was driven here to my shop and ran when I parked it. Very nice body and interior is not torn up. Only 87,619 miles |

? Never heard of a bonded title? My syncro was sitting in a scrap yard took me a extra $100 bill and 4 weeks to get title and plates in Wisconsin and almost every state has a bonded title process. |
