1984 VW Westfalia - $5000 (Cape May court house)
1984 Westfalia Full Camper. Project van. Extra parts included. Extra motor. Has Rancho Transmission, freeway flyer 4th gear. Needs resto. Interior good, needs a good cleaning. This van is worth about 20k fully restored. Don't have the time for resto. Serious inquires only. PM only if interested. No this van does not run right now.

I'd say by the ad and photos it's legit. I'd say they're travellers and are leaving the country now. Maybe started in Canada based on the BC plates. The price isn't so low that it's suspicious.

I'm probably too old fashioned but to me a hundred photos of the van don't make up for the greasy fingerprints, filthy upholstery and numerous unrepaired deficiencies visible.
Make it $22,000

I don't know what I am then, cause I was thinking more in the 12-14,000 range, look at all those small dents all over the body.
And those wheels are nasty.

Even with the freshly rebuilt 2.5? Can we meet at $15,500?

I went and looked at this Vanagon. Aside from all the electrical and mechanical issues, it was dirty inside. if you want top dollar for your Vanagon, maybe, and i'm just spit-balling here, break out the shop vac and spend an hour getting the sand, dirt, dead bugs, spider webs, and what not out. use cleaner on the windows, tighten down the loose screws, make it look like you care about it...
seriously, expend some effort and maybe it might be rewarded.
