I love the wide open interior even if mine is a 7 passenger I feel like I can move around freely without having to become a human pretzel (I'm 6'2 300lbs)
So you post what you love whether it be a stock or homebrew creation. I know there are more of these threads out there but maybe for some reason you feel like posting on this one. _________________ Current VWs: 2001 2.0 New Beetle 250k

I like the boxy 80s styling (one of the only good things about the 80s..) and the fact that I can make a u-turn in small streets, park in compact parking spaces, see if anyone is coming before creeping into an intersection, cruise at 70+ MPH while getting almost 30 MPG, carry full sheets of plywood, easily haul a washer or drier, be set up for the night within 5 minutes of parking, have a cold beer before going to bed and wake up to have hot coffee after sleeping comfortably with two other people (wife and daughter) in the van. |

I love that everytime my friends and I want to go somewhere I get an enthusiastic round of "Can we go in the Van?!"
Easy gas money and makes me feel like the captain of a ship. Argh, Full speed ahead laddy!
I love that I haven't paid for a hotel room in the last year I've had it.
I love taking naps in it during lunch time with the sun warming up the inside even during the freezing winter.
I love that these vans have a personality that goes along with them when we name them. _________________ 1985 Wolfsburg Edition Westfalia Camper Bostig conversion

Wow I'm so happy that this thread took off! I also have to agree about being able to pull out nice and far so I can check traffic before turning onto the busy highway next to my house. _________________ Current VWs: 2001 2.0 New Beetle 250k
