Hey guys,
I'm trying to retrofit a variable intermittent wiper relay to my baywindow. However, I'm just going though all the wiring diagrams and I've got a question.
What does terminal J do on the switch? It is connected to relay terminal J, but my bay does not have terminal J on the wiper switch. Is your switch a 5 position one? Because it does look like that in this wiring diagram:
If in the diagram the switch is in the parked position that would mean pin J is connected to pin 53a (12v) when the switch is in the intermittent position.
So, if I'm correct, I need to find a way to energize the relay with 12V on pin J to make it work, right? The other pins aren't a problem since they are the same way on bays as on vanagons.
Thanks in advance for the help! _________________ 1978 T2b ASI Riviera Plan I // Camper Special with MegaSquirt Injection & Ignition // 091 with 5.14 R/P and Peloquins LSD

Yes pin "J" is the intermittent position, not sure how you will add this. The Vanagon switch, I think, is a four position switch. High, Low, Off, Intermittent. |
