Looking for opinions or experiences with the different pump/filter set-ups out there. I've got an AS 41 dual relief case 1835 with hydraulic lifters and would like to add an addtional filter beyond the stock screen without going the full flow route until I rebuild. Removed oil pump/housing and have a three rivet/bolt cam. Inside pump body is stamped 30 HD Super and Schadek stamped on the back. So my question is should I go with Empi which I can get a Bugformance tomorrow, or order either a cbPerfromance maxi pump 2, or the aircooled net # ECO0029. Not running a stock exhaust or merged header so clearancing will be tight but should be doable. Thanks in advance. |

I say go with aircooled and get a new 26 oil pump while you're at it. A 30 is too big for that size of engine. |

X2 on the aircooled.net pump. The first (and only) EMPI filter pump I ever used put out 55 p.s.i. at idle - more than enough to send and engine to an early grave. _________________ '67 baja

Thanks brobards and wompninja. I'll go with the aircooled tech pump/filter. |
