I just ran new cables back to the heat exchangers, but they are proving impossible to clip back into the bracket at the front. There are four cables sat side by side, including two from up front which I've not changed, but I can't hold them still and get the retaining spring on.

Anybody know what to do?

There was a thread about doing this within the last week or so.

Many thanks. I’ve tried to find a previous thread but failed to find how to squeeze the clip into place. I suspect the clip I have is too distorted.

Maybe tie wrap the cables together loosely to hold them together.
Put the levers in the down position, so the cables have the most slack them.
Try the clip without the cable housings to see if it fits.
Would it be easier to remove the cables from the levers?

Good luck

As often happens, I post when the going gets impossible, then it dawns on me.

The spring is back on, but it wasn’t the spring that was distorted but the bracket. You can see it’s bent backwards in the pic. This meant the spring wouldn’t stretch far enough. Once I sorted that out it clicked on fairly easily.
