I have used the search with no luck.

Like the title says I am looking for a picture that shows how and where the bellcrank for the dual carb linkage is mounted on the block. I am thinking of adding the stock dual carbs{32pdsit 2 and 3} from a type 3 to my 1500 sp Ghia.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Does anyone have a camera that can take a picture for me?

I don't have the setup anymore, but here are some pictures I took when I did.

Thanks Max. It helps. I am tying to see exactly where the bellcrank attaches to the block before I tear into my 1500 type 1 style engine.

It uses 2 of the top case 8mm studs.
There is also another piece that goes on the forward stud and the bolt, that stabilizes the cross over balance pipe, and supports the center of the air cleaner, to all of the weight of the air cleaner is not carried by the tops of the carbs.

That's the earlier style 12 volt generator. It used push on spade terminals, rather than the screw post style of the later types.

And do not use them if it can be avoided. They were a high resistance joint, and had problems with the connections overheating.
VW used that one year only. 1967. On Type 3 and Type 1.

Interesting. It was on my 68 when I got it.

They have gone into early 68 with them.
Are the wire connectors on that connection, original, or replacements?

They look original. I don't see any signs of that part of the wiring being modified.

Thanks to those who helped with my request.

Out of 10 responses two were helpful and two were my own responses.

Six were about Generator wiring. Come on, show a little courtesy and start your own thread. No wonder searching this site is a pain.

You are going to get that in an open forum, that is read by 100's of people.

You did get your answer, before the thread got hi-jacked.

True, but I spend my time in many of the other forums here, and with over 1400 posts I have never seen it as bad or quick. The original hijacker knew what he was doing and could easily have started a new thread and linked to the picture. It makes it easier for future reference and searching.

As a moderator, I see this all the time, in other threads.
Not just the T-3 forum.
You got your answer in the first 2 posts. And someone noticed the difference in Max's generator and asked about it.
The biggest problem with searching and finding stuff on The Samba, is the way people title their posts. "I have a question about my car?" Does not search well.

And, you yourself have hi-jacked this thread even farther, by complaining about the hi-jack.
