unusual chassis number

Hi.
I have an old VW chassis. It has the number stamped under the rear seat position.

The number is: 5505 o5
(it has a little o between the upper part of the last 2 fives)

so far I have not been able to find any info.
Would like to find out the origin and year of chassis.

Post some pics and the experts can tell you a lot about it, even without a number.

Maybe it's part of an 8 or a 6.

can not be part of a 6 the o is at the top like part of an 8 but much smaller.
