A little background.
Last Friday the cross shaft broke, it was replaced but not the T/O bearing. On Saturday afternoon coming from town the TO bearing gave up and it bent the new cross shaft on it's way out. I made the cross shaft worst by trying to push the clutch to see if I could engage third gear so I could get home at least. I was able to get home but the damage was done.
I installed a Bugpacl racing cross shaft withtheir bushing and everything is within tolerances as far as movement goes, also installed an engine (and here is where the problem begins now), everything is hooked up, except the fan belt. When I started to tight the alternator pulley nut I was expecting to see the crankshaft pulley rotate with the belt as usual, but the engine did not rotate. I tried to rotate the engine using an adjustable wrench on the crankshaft pulley and nothing moved. I checked the clutch cable for tension and to be on the safe side, it is completely loose. All this time transaxle was in neutral and e-brake disengaged. This engine was running before I took it out to installed yesterday on my Ghia. What do I need to check before taking it out again? I am going to hate it if it is the main shaft on the transaxle. Open for suggestions, start sending them.

Was the pressure plate messed up when you took it out the second time? It seems like the busted TO shaft would do a lot of damage. Maybe your clutch is jamming everything.
