Can you use a 58-59 pedal cluster with a 57 Oval?

We are confused here in the Philippines where we don't see to many Ovals and we have a pedal cluster that appears to have come off either a 58-59 which we were looking to replace a cluster on a 57 Oval but yet it didn't seem correct. We are encountering a problem wherein the Brake refuses to return when it is stepped on simultaneously with the clutch.

I think there is a difference with the gas pedal. 57 the last year for the roller pedal?

The only way you can use the 58 and later pedal assembly in an oval is if the oval is on a 58 and later pan.

The position of the clutch tube in an oval is about 2" further to the right compared to the later pan.
