That looks awesome, I love it. How does it handle cross winds? My old '78 Westy felt like it was all over the road I can imagine what that must feel like
Did you just order the grills for a new water-cooled baywindow from Brazil/Europe? _________________ Formerly known in the forums as "OVALTEEN"

It actually hands pretty well ..... The tires are "D" rated. Heavy duty gas shocks, 1" front swaybar..... The only time it gets weird is in like 30-40 mph side winds...... then you just slow down..... but it's normally pretty solid in a lane.
I got the grill from Mexico....and the upper vent grill from Brazil. Antonio Trejo from Mexico City found it for me. He works at a Vw dealer there.....He advertises on The Samba regularly....
Here's a pic of Clydes trailer...... Hauls all the big camping stuff...

Sorry to hear Clyde is enjoying a new owner. Is he or she a member here? The photos would be a welcome sight once again _________________ Learn how your vintage VW works. And why it doesn't!

Just saw Clyde driving on I-90 heading toward Spokane on Saturday. That's a long way from home and it looked like there was no problem keeping up with traffic. Good job on the build! _________________ "I will dream what no one else is dreaming, and will build what no one else is building" DaVinci I believe
