Need help or advise on installing a tach signal converter on a Vanagon with a MK4 harness and motor. The problem is the Vanagon is analog and the MK4 is digital.

You will need a MSD Tach Adaptor part # 8920. You can either install it near the instrument cluster or near our ECU. I recommend near the ECU because the tach adapter makes a buzzing sound.. Annoying.

If your going to the SdM let me know. I can bring up the engine bracket you sent us. That is if you want it back..

Cool, thanks Stephan for the tip.I ordered the adapter today from Summit.Looks like I'm probably going to mount it in the treasure chest along side the ECU and fuse panel. From what I researched it looks like you can get the tach signal from the T-10 black connector-pin#9(white wire)? Is this correct?

Really working hard on this swap to get it ready for SdM.That would be great if you could bring the mustache bar with you.I guess you know we made our own custom engine bars.I think Ed sent you some pics of them.

Thanks for your help.

Paul
