Who knows the history behind these things? There is no stamping marks on the inside of the scoops. They metal, nice and solid. Seems to be the orignal paint.
Anybody know who made these, or any other history about them?

I have never seen them before, till I saw them in the classifids, and baught them right away. Empis must've not made too many of these..Are they considered rare?
I'll be making a mold off of these to make them in carbon fiber and fiberglass...but I will be keeping these babies to paint and put on my beetle. |

I've an NOS set still in the box. The box actually still wears the part #s for these scoops, but other than that the box is plain White with no other markings.
Mine is a 3pc set consisting of the two rear vent intakes & a single one for the front hood. Mine are finished in a Dark Green paint hue with Black rubber trim and some Chrome inserts _________________ 1947 Typ 11a
