Hello All,
I have a 1970 Australian RHD Fastback. Many years ago I had the dash pad rebuilt (badly) and I cannot remember whether or not I had a divider in the speaker perforations in the dash. I think I did but I want to confirm before I order a replacement. I have seen an old post mentioning a picture showing all the different variations. Can anyone please confirm if I should have the divider, and also provide a link to the photo?
Thanks very much

A '70 would have the un-punched bar running down the center of the speaker perforations. _________________ https://imgur.com/user/FisherSquareback/posts

Where did you get the other rubbish one done Jed? I had a similar experience with one twenty years back with a place at Bankstown. There is a place down here close to me who doesn't do a bad job when you threaten to kill him if he stuffs it. He has a metal dash from a 69 to use as a jig which I have left with him. He can do the holes but I didn't get them in at the time. Maybe I'll make a drill jig later to do them!

Have you tried contacting Retrovan ? I think Herman still had a couple of RHD dash pads still in his inventory. Might be worth a shot. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

You have luck.
Have a RHD Dash in stock for you.
Can do the un-drilled bar in the center of the speaker holes as I have done on a number of LHD dash delivery's for the guys here on the Samba.
Give me a PM and let get you sorted.

Hi DHanna,
I can't remember where I had the dash done, too long ago. I have ordered one from Retrovan.
Regards,
Jed |
