When the rear wheel (only the working side)is on the air, e-brake loosened, and the gear is in neutral, the rear wheel should rotate freely right? But it's not. There is strong drag on the axle and hard to turn the wheel around. I almost have to force to turn. and yes, I even checked with the drum off the axle. No shoe is touching anything. Is it something to do with my new Peloquin diff. or is there something else that I should know?

There is far more resistance with a TBD installed. A TBD won't feel at all like the original open diff, due to the drag/friction between the numerous planetary gears and their respective gear pockets.

Yah thanks
I just learned that by raising both wheels on the air.
When I turned one wheel the other turned too. Still with some resistance. Making brake adjustment little more difficult.

Now you've got a solidly valid excuse to swap in some rear disc brakes--congrats!

I inspected my rear drum brake last weekend for the first time myself and found out that return springs were stuck in between the gear teeth on the adjusting rod preventing from self adjusting. I think the return springs need to be hooked the other way around(upside down from how it is now) to clear the way. However, in order to do that, the red and blue springs need to be switched around too( I think)

Does the certain colored spring need to be at certain side of the drum?

I just want to switch the springs around. What is the easiest way to do it without removing as few parts as possible?

E- brake only moves upper part of brake lining on ONE side only. Is that OK? Other wise all the brake parts look still good.
